Feb.13th digging results

This is a pic from Saturdays dig. We started late because of bad weather. We started to do a test hole on a suspicious spot. This spot had glass and brick in it, but after digging a few minutes it turned out to be some kind of holding take made out of brick. It had 1900's bottles on the top of what was some kind of lid on it. It also had blown plain bottles on the top. We thought it might have something in it, but it was empty. No artifacts at all.
We spent the rest of the evening looking for a pit, as the house should of had several. We dug 3 more holes. One a trash pit from the 20's, one small 1x1 foot wooden box type structure, (like a tiny privy), and one large privy. The tiny box type thing had some common blown bottles and a nice milk from Dan's current home town. The large privy will be dug at a later time, for we dug a 6 foot test hole and still hadn't reached any use layer. Just little signs all the way down to tell us not to give up on it! That could be interesting...Dan thinks. Yep I agree also.
